Android applications I have developed.

Site upgrade

Hello Everyone,

I have changed the Site’s theme to match mobile devices.

I have added an “About me” section.

And removed 3 Android applications which shouldn’t have been presented in this site in the first place – these applications aren’t freewares and aren’t usable for the general public so they are of no interest to any of you.

Why have i developed them in the first place? – These were developed by me to satisfy the company i worked in, so although I am proud of them, they are of no consequence to you, thus were they removed from this site.

Contact Picker Library for Android is inserted into the site

That’s it,

Finished inserting Contact Picker Library to the site.

Not many screenshots for this one though as it is a library and not a GUI application.

And I must thank Ngewi Fet for his great job on this library, I only helped him after he did the heavy lifting of the coding on this library.

New: Contact Picker Android Library

Today I am introducing an Android Contact Picker library.

Contact PickerI have developed several telephony Android apps, and have encountered the need to browse the phone’s contacts in order to get a phone number – This task is too complicated ¬†and too “library like” to let it be done each time all over again.

There is a need for a good contact picker library.

So I have developed one, but while debugging it I saw a nice contact picker open sourced on GitHub, so why not use that code? Why should I re invent the wheel?

So instead of opening a new open source project, I have just joined an existing one and  helped its development.

I will insert the project to my site with links to the GitHub repository.

New Application: ILD Callback

ILD Callback is an Android Callback (long distance calls) application.

ILD CallbackIt’s purpose is to enable the enterprise user to call international calls while paying (while the company pays) low rates.

The way it works is by initiating a “CallBack”, a callback is a method an Asterisk (telephony server) uses to call two destinations.

It first calls the first number (In the regular case you will want to insert your own number there), after the call is answered, it calls the second number, then merges (behund the scenes) both calls to one happy call.

This application is released for the enterprise market and thus is distributed by the companies to their employees, it won’t be uploaded into Google’s Market and it’s APK file is not to be downloaded from my site, so you can just enjoy the screenshots for now.

Finished insertion of Local Numbers into this site

Finished the “Local Numbers” application page.

The bad news is that currently I can’t publish the APK file, so you would just need to be satisfied with the screenshots for now.

This application is only adjusted to tablets (and large ones at that) as you can see from the screenshots.

Created a new application – Local Numbers

Local Numbers is an application which generates local numbers – which are numbers anyone can call locally (and pay local rates) while these numbers route the call to any international number.

Local Numbers Main ScreenStated simply – This application enables the user to call international numbers but pay local rates.

For any DB CRUD functionality my application contacts a REST (php) API sending / receiving JSON messages.

In order to use this functionality, you need to sign yourself up at poketalk.com and sign up for “local numbers”.

This application is eMobile Telecommunication inc’s property and I cannot supply a link to the apk file (and they didn’t upload this application to google’s play market), so just enjoy the screenshots in the “local Numbers” page.

Poketalk application inserted to the site

Hi All,

I have inserted the Poketalk Android Application page into the site.

You can access the Poketalk Page by clicking on this line.

The Poketalk application is the first application I built for Poketalk, it uses REST API calls formatted as JSON, in order to connect to a PHP API server which gives commands to an Asterisk server.

If you want to actually use this application then you need to have an account at poketalk.com which will enable you to make long distance calls while paying low rates.

Enjoy.

Poketalk Description

PokeTALK is an international calling service that allows one to make calls from one’s own phone at rates up to 90% lower than traditional international call rates.

With PokeTALK one can call over 80 countries for under 2 cents/minute, at the highest quality.
The app allows one to initiate a callback, which calls your phone and then connects you, so no internet, microphone, or headset is needed once the call is initiated. You speak from your own phone, landline or mobile, and can call over 200 countries.

The application sends JSON RESTful requests to our poketalk servers in order to initiate complex server functionality.
